Heart Center, Navicent Health's Advanced Heart Failure Program began working on beginning a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) program in 2011 and went "live" in May 2012. The program has a multidisciplinary team that consists of surgeons, psychiatrist, counselors, nurses, nurse practitioners, dieticians, physical therapy, occupational therapy, financial counselors, a VAD coordinator, and many other dedicated staff to take care of VAD patients. The team is joined by Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, Navicent Health and the Advanced Heart Failure clinic to provide a full continuum of care.

The Medical Center, Navicent Health VAD Program provides world class care to patients with end-stage heart failure. We consist of a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals that provide expert, compassionate patient care and innovative clinical research.
