What to expect from a Pediatric Gynecology visit/exam?
We will start by talking and taking a thorough history. Depending on the complaint and symptoms we may do an external exam (meaning I just look). Most patients will not require an invasive exam with a speculum or other instruments. Often the exam just includes an evaluation of the skin, neck, or abdomen. Our goal is to make the patient and family as comfortable as possible and avoid unnecessary exams and discomfort.
