The EMS department at The Medical Center, Navicent Health serves the citizens of Baldwin, Bibb, Jones and Twiggs counties. The EMS department staffs each of its ambulances with highly trained paramedics that are able to treat a wide range of injuries and illnesses. The paramedics have the ability to transmit from the field 12 lead EKG's that allow the receiving hospitals physicians the ability to view cardiac arrhythmia prior to the arrival of the patient. The EMS teams are also able to administer interosseus IV's, CPAP and have advanced training in stroke recognition. The Medical Center EMS department has been chosen twice in recent years to be included in cutting edge national research projects that will affect the care paramedics provide in years to come.
