About Us

Welcome to Orthopaedic Trauma Institute, Navicent Health Physician Group (OTINHPG), serving Macon and Central Georgia. OTINHPG is Central Georgia's only Level 1 Trauma Center providing care to a 30,000 square-mile service area. Specializing in acute fractures, post traumatic reconstruction, deformity correction from malunions, nonunions, and infection.OTINHPG provides comprehensive Orthopaedic Trauma care second to none.

Originally, OTINHPG was called the Georgia Orthopaedic Trauma Institute, founded by Dr. John Floyd in 2007, developed as part of the health system's Level-1 Trauma Center level of care. Drs. Lawrence Webb and Cliff Turen joined in 2009 to form a nationally and internationally recognized entity within the world of orthopaedic trauma.

Despite the emergence of Navicent Health in 2014 leading to a name change of the institute, OTINHPG continues to be a leader in the clinical practice, education, and research in the field. With two-fellowship trained orthopaedic traumatologists on staff, OTINHPG offers Georgia's only orthopaedic trauma fellowship, as well as participates in medical education at the Mercer University School of Medicine.
