What do you like about the program: I was born and raised in Macon, Ga and this program gave me the opportunity to service the community in which I grew up. Additionally, this is a Family Medicine program that truly embodies the meaning of family. The faculty, residents, and staff not only work well together but we know how to enjoy one another too. I was also drawn to the Integrative Medicine Program and associated Geriatric Fellowship. As these programs will aid in reaching my goal of treating the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) from birth until death.

What Do You Like About the Program: I chose family medicine for the broad scope of practice. I see medicine as a way to show people love and take care of them on some of their worst days. Family medicine will teach me to take care of people with various illnesses and problems. I chose this program because it feels like we are a family, we work together, learn together and help each other. I'm looking forward to growing and learning over the next three years.

What Do You Like About the Program: I really enjoy the diversity at Atrium Health Navicent. The physicians in this program reflect the diversity seen in our patients. The training is extensive and truly prepares us to meet both the inpatient and outpatient needs of our future communities. There is a family atmosphere here which fosters growth without unnecessary stress. The leadership in this program is supportive and encouraging.

I also enjoy traveling as far and as frequently as my schedule and budget will allow. During down time at home, I can be found splitting couch space with my dog and reading a good novel or watching Turner Classic Movies.
What I like about the program: The faculty and staff are so invested in the professional and personal growth of residents. I feel like I could go to anyone on our team with anything and be received with encouragement and support.

What I like about the program:Having grown up in Macon, GA I enjoy the aspect of being able to practice medicine and provide the highest quality of healthcare to members of my own community. They make you feel like you are apart of a family and this atmosphere fosters the ability to build strong long lasting relationships with the entire hospital staff. The program and attending's provide excellent teaching that allows you the ability to acquire a wide fund of knowledge during your training.

What I like about the program: The Family Medicine Residency Program appealed to me for many reasons. The Attending physicians have a wealth of knowledge and experience. The upper-level residents are very kind and are committed to both learning and teaching. Basically, meeting the people involved in this program was like meeting a new family.

What I like about the program: So, my first job out of high school was as a clinical tech at Navicent where I worked for 7 years. I was so impressed by the Family Medicine program faculty, residents and fellows whom I observed during my time here that I decided to attend medical school and become a doctor. When it came time for residency, there was no other facility in the country I preferred to be at more than here. I truly feel like I'm back home.
