No Need for an Appointment! Walk In for Your Mammogram!

Navicent Health to Host Annual ""Mammo Marathon""

Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer-related death among women in the U.S. and affects those of every ethnicity and socioeconomic background. According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. An estimated 276,480 women and an estimated 2,620 men are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

Although these statistics seem dire, improving treatments and early detection will allow many of these patients to become breast cancer survivors. A mammogram is the first line of defense against breast cancer, a key player in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. Navicent Health offers the latest mammography technology, including 3D mammography backed by Profound AI, proven for faster, more accurate detection of breast cancer.

""Many people think about breast cancer more during the month of October than any other time, so this is a great time to have your annual screening mammogram, and just make sure that everything is okay and that you're healthy. We understand that everyone is busy, so we want to make having a mammogram as convenient as possible. That's why we're hosting our annual Mammo Marathon again this year, with multiple locations, extended hours, and no appointment necessary,"" said Jill Hancock, Director of Breast Care Center, Navicent Health.
