Navicent Health Prepares to Paint the Town Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

A Month of Community Events Planned for October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

MACON, GA (Thursday, September 24, 2015) – Breast cancer is the second leading cuase of cancer-related death among women in the U.S., and affects those from every ethnic and socioeconomic background. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, with an estimated 230,000 new patients expected to be diagnosed this year. Although these statistics are alarming, improving treatments and early detection will allow many of these patients to be survivors.
