“Our goal at Navicent Health is to provide access to the right care, at the right cost, at the right time, close to home. For the first time, through the Peyton Anderson Cancer Center, we will be able to provide numerous options for cancer patients in a single location, and close to home, thus making treatment easier and more accessible for the patient, and also lowering the cost of treatment. It is our intent to navigate patients to better health while keeping their needs at the center of all that we do. The Peyton Anderson Cancer Center will allow us to achieve that,” said Dr. Ninfa M. Peyton Anderson Cancer Center will begin receiving patients on November 17, 2014. Navicent Health strategically planned for this new 100,000 square foot cancer center because of the region’s current and potential need.

“With early diagnosis, improved treatments and an aging baby boomer population, the number of cancer patients and survivors is on the rise. We are grateful to those who have supported our goal of operating a facility that coordinates oncology services,” said Dr. Frederick M Schnell, Director of Navicent Health’s Georgia Cancer Coalition Grant and Medical Director of Oncology Services at Navicent Health.

Construction on the $44 million project began in December 2013.
