Dean D. Kindler, M.D. is the Senior Vice President for Operations and Physician-in-Chief for Navicent Health Physician Group. He is responsible for the clinical, operational, and fiscal performance of the 500 + provider and support teammate medical group at Navicent Health. Dr. Kindler joined Navicent Health in September 2019. Prior to Navicent Health, Dr. Kindler served as Chief Medical Officer for 450 provider medical group in a 4 hospital system in Kalamazoo, MI from 2015-2019. Dr. Kindler also served as Executive Director for Neurosciences and practicing vascular neurologist within the same system from 2005-2015. His clinical interests include cerebrovascular disease, neurocritical care, and neuroimaging. He has had held academic appointments at Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, and University of Vermont including residency program director for neurology. Dr. Kindler is board certified in vascular neurology, general neurology, and neuroimaging. Dr. Kindler completed his undergraduate education at Boston College, graduate education at the College of William and Mary, medical education at the University of Virginia, and internship, residency, and fellowship clinical training at the University of Virginia Health System.
